
Olympic champion and one of the Czech Republic's top tennis players, Tomas Machac, has confirmed his participation in the Almaty Open ATP 250, which will take place in Almaty from 17 to 25 October.
The 25-year-old Czech currently holds World No. 58 in the ATP Rankings. Over the past two seasons, Machac has established himself among the leading players on the ATP Tour, winning three ATP titles and consistently competing at the highest level.
The biggest achievement of his career came at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where he captured the gold medal in mixed doubles alongside fellow Czech player Katerina Siniaková, securing Olympic glory for their country.
Machac has claimed two ATP singles titles, winning the ATP 500 Acapulco tournament in 2025 and the ATP 250 Adelaide event in 2026. He has also won one ATP doubles title. Before breaking through on the ATP Tour, he captured six ATP Challenger singles titles.
The Almaty Open ATP 250 traditionally features a strong player field and is part of the official ATP Tour calendar. The tournament has become one of Kazakhstan's premier international sporting events of the autumn, attracting tennis fans from across the world.
